Sony has recently announced two new eBook readers that are set to sell like hotcakes. One is the pocket sized, light and very affordable PRS-300. The other, the PRS-600 is slightly larger and slightly more expensive but has fanatastic features that are bound to attract the business crowd. Both are high quality offerings that set the standard for other manufacturers in 2010.

Sony PRS-300 Reader Sony PRS-300 Reader Pocket Edition eBook Reader

The Sony PRS-300 is a third generation eBook reader, small enough to fit into a jacket pocket. With a 5" screen and choice of three font sizes, it is perfect for the daily commute. You can carry around 350 books with you on this device and you will not have to charge it for weeks.

As with all Sony eBook readers, the PRS-300 uses eInk which means that there is no backlit screen and thus none of the eyestrain associated with regular LCD screens.

Sony PRS-600 Reader Sony PRS-600 Reader Touch Edition eBook Reader

The Sony PRS-600 can be thought of as the big brother to the PRS-300. The main difference is the larger, touch sensitive 6" screen which allows simple gesture based navigation as well as highlighting and annotation. With the same long battery life as the PRS-300, these features are sure to be a hit with the education sector.

Other benefits to this model include memory slots for expansion, an in-built MP3 player and a choice of 5 font sizes.
